E3 Booths in HDR

Welcome to my HDR photos from E3 2011! For more of my HDR photos from around the world visit www.runningronin.com and thanks for the support! :)

Here are a few photos I managed to capture during the extremely busy 2011 E3 (my feet still hurt). Above is a full HDR treatment for the quite awersome Batman booth that WB had setup. Just below you instead can see the Capcom booth while the big screen shows the Capcom x Tekken trailer.

Quite simply - HDR is the only way you can capture all this detail and the screens in a way that can deliver the actual feeling of how fast people were moving and how many things were going on all around you...

The EA booth (below) had just shown the absolutely awesome trailer for Star Wars Old Republic (the MMO BioWare is working on) and you can see there are a lot of mesmerized onlookers.

As for Sonic, I had to take a photo of the below gaming icon. Unfortunately its not a full HDR but an image tonemapped from a single NEF (raw file) - hence a lot of noise.

Finally, Namco Bandai had setup an interesting booth for Inversion, the gravity(less) game where Inversion meets Gears of War. This photo also was a single tonemapped photo from 1 raw picture, and obviously it was turned 90 degrees.

The whole downtown LA area was covered in game ads, as in the Figueroa Hotel which had turned into the Skyrim Hotel (cant wait to play the next Elder Scrolls!).

What game are you waiting for?

As for me... apart from the obvious ones I really loved a game called Bastion. Check out their trailer below - the art style is pretty amazing.
