Want a Rose?

Hi and thanks for visiting my gallery page! These photos are from my travels (I travel a lot for work) - if you want to learn more about how I take these shots and who I learn from, visit www.runningronin.com.

If you ever visit the historical center of Rome, and if you are with your significant other... you will always be harassed by rose bearing "vu cumpra'." Vu Cumpra' literally means, "Wanna Buy?"

The only way to survive the flower bearing sellers is to repeat: "No, No, No, No, No..." till eventually they go away. Keep in mind, it will take them some time to go.

As for the photo - which I'm not very happy with -  it was:
  • Shot with my Nikon D90
  • HDRed with Photomatix Pro from a set of 3 photo
  • Deghosted in Photomatix Pro using the semi-manual deghosting option - and by the way, I'm not happy with how it was deghosted
  • Detail Enhanced in Topaz Adjust - Medium Detail setting with slight color enhancing
  • Denoised in Topaz Denoise - Medium setting
Actually I might prefer the more simplified version below... less details, and a bit more cropping. What do you think?
