Quick FAQ:
Why the Nikon D90? At the time I decided I wanted to get into DSLR the D90 was the best entry level camera. A good choice, imho and strongly suggested by photography Jedi Master Trey Ratcliff. Also, the camera does do AUTOBRACKETING. That is one of the most important features a camera needs if you want to do HDR photography.
Are you thinking about upgrading your D90? YES! Still dont know to what. But the D7000 looks amazing. Check out this comparison post if you want to know more about the D90 vs the D7000.
Would you ever buy a Leica? I would if I could. Love how compact the camera is, and love how you can just focus on shooting. Love less the lack of auto focus (but I might be mistaken here).
How did I decide to go with these lenses? A mix of my mistakes, fortunately tempered by the good advice from photography Jedi Master Trey Ratcliff. Also some good explanations from the guys at Sammy's Cameras.
Which one is my favorite lense? I might sound like a noob... but I like the kit one the most (18-105). A world of versatility, great for walking around, decent wide shots and good for street and candid portraits.
How much do I know about photography? Almost nothing! I'm a total noob photographer - been taking photos for a year now. But I do enjoy it!
Who got you into photography: Two guys. One is Danny Choo, a Japanese trend-setting guru. Reading his photowalks of Tokyo, some switch flipped in my brain. He initially got me to select better point and shoot cameras, and then he got me to want to move onto DSLR. The next guy is Trey Ratcliff - his website is amazing and he is the best web teacher I have encountered. I have used his tutorials, read his books and constantly try to follow his advice.
